As a member of Motley Rice’s Medical practice group, Adrian Broome litigates cases related to defective medical devices, harmful pharmaceutical drugs and medical malpractice. She has represented clients allegedly harmed by the antidepressant drug Paxil® and Type 2 diabetes drug Avandia® and has worked closely with Motley Rice attorneys on the firm’s tainted tissue and misappropriated human remains litigation. Currently, her practice includes cases involving antidepressants such as Wellbutrin®, as well as drugs that include Topamax®, Crestor® and Actos®.

Before joining Motley Rice, Adrian served as a law clerk, gaining experience in diverse areas of law such as products liability, trademark and copyright infringement, premises liability and bank fraud.

Adrian earned a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Gressman-Pollitt Award-winner for Oral Advocacy and member of the Order of the Golden Fleece and Order of the Grail and Valkyries. She also served two consecutive years as Graduate Attorney General, during which time she ran and controlled the University’s Graduate Judicial System and Honor Court. Prior to earning a law degree, Adrian graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and served as Undergraduate Student Attorney General Staff. She is now a member of the South Carolina Bar Association.
