The Four Planes Lost on 9/11/01

American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77, United Airlines Flight 93

Because of government and industry blocks to the investigation of airline, security complany and airport negligence on September 11, 2001, Motley Rice launched an unprecedented $20 million worldwide private discovery effort to uncover the industry negligence which led to the 9/11 attacks. Our efforts led our investigators and attorneys to dozens of countries and uncovered sucha witnesses as an al Qaeda trained suicide hijacker (who backed out once inside the United States), employees at major U.S. carriers with links to terrorists, and an astonishing collection of documents showing what we believe to be clear knowledge by the carriers and others of their security shortcomings regarding the threat of terrorists.

We believe an understanding of the true causes of 9/11 unveiled itself through our investigation. We aim to hold all those responsible for this tragedy accountable, including the airlines and security companies who were responsible, pursuant to federal aviation regulations, for the screening of passengers. Throughout the litigation of these horrific crashes, we knew the cause of airline safety and security would be furthered, not only for the United States, but for the world. Our pursuit of these cases and the evidence to support them enabled us to publicly expose this alleged negligence and to influence positive safety and security improvements in the aviation industry.
