TACTIX Seminar
TACTIX (Trial Attorneys Come Together for Information Exchange) is the Motley Rice co-counsel seminar, a two-day conference that brings together the diverse and influential group of trial attorneys who work with Motley Rice.
This special event provides invited plaintiffs’ attorneys the opportunity to participate in a program that offers a strong technical agenda, renowned keynote speakers, professional CLE credit and a balance of networking, fun and recreation.

TACTIX 2010 Connect: The Motley Rice Co-Counsel Seminar will be held Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort's luxury hotel, The Sanctuary. Thursday will feature a full day of informational sessions followed by a lively lowcountry soirée at Ron Motley's home. Sessions will run through mid-day on Friday, and attendees will then have the option to participate in one of the following:
1. Our charity golf tournament, being held this year on one of Kiawah Island Golf Resort's five championship golf courses, Osprey Point.
2. Our first ever inshore fishing tournament through Kiawah Island's saltwater creeks and marshes.
Seminar Reservation
This year, the registration fee is $495.00 per person. We will offer a discounted rate to those firms sending more than one attorney/staff member. All subsequent attendee fees will be $450.00.
The Sanctuary Room Reservations
If you plan to join us at this year's Motley Rice Co-Counsel Seminar, quickly reserve a room at The Sanctuary. The room block that we have reserved offers reservations at a discounted rate of $249.00 per night, but this rate will only apply until February 14, 2010. Reservations following the February 14 deadline will be offered at the best available rate if rooms are still available. To make a reservation, call The Sanctuary at +1 877.683.1234. Based on feedback, TACTIX has transitioned to an 18-month schedule, allowing us to build a high-impact event that provides a valuable opportunity for our co-counsel. CLE
TACTIX organizers pre-apply for CLE credits in some states. States that have not been pre-approved may still offer credit for the seminar if attorneys apply for credit on an individual basis.
EVENT ATTIRE
Business casual attire is appropriate as we want to ensure that all attendees can relax and have fun while participating in the seminar and networking activities. If you are attending Thursday evening’s Lowcountry Soirée, dressy casual attire is welcome. The evening’s entertainment and refreshments will be located in an outdoor, poolside area, so we do, however, encourage you to be mindful of your comfort and come prepared for unpredictable weather. For those of you participating in the Charity Golf Tournament, please pack appropriate golf attire, and remember to account for potentially cool weather. Also note that clothing/equipment purchases and rentals may be made for any who forget an item or decide to play last-minute. Participants in the Inshore Fishing Tournament will need to dress casually and comfortably. Again, remember to pack for unpredictable weather conditions. Rule of thumb for all- dress comfortably!
