Bausch & Lomb ReNu Brand Contact Lens Solution
Approximately 31 US states have reported 102 confirmed cases of Fusarium Keratitis, a rare fungal eye infection, among contact lens wearers. A high number of those with infection reported use of a Bausch & Lomb ReNu brand contact lens solution. Specific brand names include: B&L ReNu with MoistureLoc and B&L ReNu MultiPlus.

The FDA has received an increased number of reports of this fungal dermatitis of the eye. Without proper treatment, this rare but serious eye infection may scar the cornea and cause blindness. Once the infection establishes itself in the eye it becomes difficult to treat and therefore increases the risk of permanent injury to the eye.

Motley Rice is vigorously investigating claims of eye infections among contact lens wearers who have used the ReNu product line at or near the time of infection. Symptoms include eye pain and discomfort and increased sensitivity to light. Please contact Carmen Scott, Esquire (cscott@motleyrice.com)and include contact information including email addresses.
