Sulzer Hip/Knee Replacement Recall
A class action currently exists for any individuals who have received a recalled Sulzer hip and/or knee implant device from Sulzer Orthopedics, Inc. The Class Action Settlement, In Re Sulzer Hip Prosthesis and Knee Prosthesis Product, MDL No. 1401, was approved on May 8, 2002 by Judge Kathleen O'Malley of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. An individual may be entitled to benefits under this settlement if they were implanted with:
- certain Inter-Op Shells,
- certain Reprocessed Inter-Op Shells, or
- certain Tibial Baseplates.
