MOTLEY RICE ATTORNEY SERVES AS FACULTY
Donald Migliori to Provide Update on the Class Action Fairness Act
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (August 24, 2005) – Motley Rice LLC, one of the nation's largest plaintiffs' litigation firms, today announced that attorney Donald A. Migliori will co-present "A Critical Update on the Class Action Fairness Act in Rhode Island" on August 25, 2005 in Providence, Rhode Island. The seminar is designed to help plaintiff and defense attorneys understand the new Act, which President Bush signed into law on February 18. Migliori will discuss the benefits and limitations of the Act, common terminology and definitions and the Consumer Class Action Bill of Rights. The faculty will also cover jurisdictional issues, judicial interpretation and strategies as they relate to the new guidelines of the Act.

Migliori is a frequent speaker on legal issues relating to terrorist financing, aviation security, class action litigation, premises liability in class action litigation, and tobacco company liability. He has appeared on Court TV, Fox News and the CBS Early Show and is an adjunct professor at Roger Williams School of Law. Migliori earned a B.A. from Brown University, a Master's Degree from Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Public Citizenry and a law degree from the Syracuse College of Law.
