Pilot experience and regulations discussed by aviation attorney Mary Schiavo

Mary Schiavo, former Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Transportation and Motley Rice aviation attorney, appeared on CNBC's Street Signs on Friday, July 30, 2010 to discuss new legislation aimed at increasing air travel safety.

The legislation also mandates that mainline carriers, the airline name under which the flight is operated, must have increased safety oversight over their regional carriers.
