Blowing the Whistle: Securities lawyer on Madoff’s Ponzi scheme

In the commentary, Labaton suggests that Bernie Madoff and his conspirators could have been stopped long before they destroyed the lives of their many clients if the Securities and Exchange Commission had been more open to whistleblowers, and he also points out that the new corporate whistleblower law can be a big asset in exposing corporate fraud.
