Calspan trains pilots to handle problems like icing, suspected in Flight 3407 crash

Following the crash of Continental Connection Flight 3407, pilot experience, the use of an autopilot and icing have been central areas of focus for federal investigators, and researchers at Calspan's flight group say that their specialized training program may be able to help prevent similar aviation disasters from occurring. Calspan claims to be the only private company offering in-flight upset control training, a method of training that few airline pilots currently receive.
