MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. - Plaintiffs' law firm Motley Rice LLC, an avid supporter of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, was proud to host its annual fundraising carnival on Thursday, October 14, 2009, bringing to employees fun and games while raising nearly $2,500 on behalf of the foundation.

The hurricane-themed carnival, held at the firm's main office in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, is one of several events held by the firm each year to support the mission of the Toys for Tots program—to play an active role in the growth and development of the nation's children and bring together communities through an inspiring cause. The carnival included a lunch buffet, silent auction, dunk tank and a variety of competitive games, some of which were featured in a broadcast by Rob Fowler on WCBD Channel 2 News.

"This event was a tremendous success thanks to the tireless efforts of our Toys for Tots Committee and the support that they were able to rally from our employees, vendors and other community partners," said Motley Rice Executive Director Roy Neal.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation was created to offer the U. S. Marine Corps a means of providing hope to economically disadvantaged children by collecting and distributing toys in approximately 500 communities in all 50 states. In 2007 and 2008 combined, Motley Rice employees collected thousands of toys for the Toys for Tots Foundation and children of South Carolina. In addition to hosting the carnival the firm will host two more events in hopes of ending 2009 with a record number of toy donations.
