Motley Rice presents Marine Toys for Tots Foundation with thousands in donations

Motley Rice presented the Marine's Toys for Tots Foundationwith a donation of 5,031 toys via a live broadcast by WCBD News 2 on December 17, 2009, making its toy donations over the last three years exceed 11,000. The firm works annually to contribute to the foundation’s mission to collect and distribute toys throughout South Carolina during the holiday season, holding multiple fundraisers and rallying support throughout the community beginning as early as September.

Toys for Tots is a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve program aimed at motivating children in need to grow into patriotic citizens and community leaders. With Motley Rice’s donation, the foundation has already collected 28,000 toys for distribution in 2009. Motley Rice co-founder Joe Rice attended the presentation of the firm’s toys and took a special moment to thank Motley Rice’s staff, vendors and people throughout the community for enabling the firm to make so generous a donation.
