Lawsuit against financial giant Charles Schwab & Co. certified
Motley Rice attorney Badge Humphries discusses the class action lawsuit filed by investors against Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. for the financial service company's potential involvement in a $66 million dollar investment fraud scheme allegedly conceived by former Charleston Southern University economics professor, Al Parish. Although Charles Schwab & Co. preferred that the investors' claims be handled individually and privately through binding arbitration, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina has ruled that the plaintiffs meet the qualifications required for class-action certification.
Motley Rice attorneys Badge Humphries and Bill Narwold were appointed as class counsel by the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina along with co-counsel James Griffin and Richard A. Harpootlian.
