Wartime contractors sued for alleged improper waste disposal in burn pits

KBR and other military contractors face more than forty pending federal lawsuits alleging that that these companies endangered the health and safety of military workers and soldiers by disposing of waste in unregulated burn pits. These suits have been consolidated in a Maryland federal district court on behalf of approximately 300 plaintiffs, all of whom are soldiers, military service members or family members of those who have allegedly died as a result of burn pit exposure.
