Victoria Antion Nelson, a West Virginia native, represents victims of asbestos exposure who suffer from mesothelioma, lung cancer and other asbestos-related diseases. She manages and prepares multi-party asbestos cases for trial, and develops premise and product liability theories against corporate defendants. Victoria also supports the Motley Rice’s occupational disease and toxic tort litigation by working with expert witnesses and maintaining an active motion practice. 

Victoria began her career as a legal intern with the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. She then served as a graduate assistant with West Virginia University’s Student Legal Services and the University’s Office of the General Counsel, where she supported the General Counsel and staff on matters of higher education law. From 2003-2005, Victoria served as a clerk for the Honorable Ronald E. Wilson, Chief Judge in West Virginia’s First Judicial Circuit. Since joining Motley Rice in 2005, she has concentrated her efforts on litigating exigent asbestos cases.

Victoria is active in her community as a Board Member for the Rosenbaum Family House in Morgantown, West Virginia and volunteers for several local Morgantown agencies. She was the youngest member of the West Virginia State Bar Association Board of Governors and currently serves on the West Virginia University College of Law’s Development Committee. Victoria is a member of the American Bar Association, the South Carolina Association for Justice and the West Virginia State Bar Association, and has received the honor of induction into the Order of the Barristers.
