Protecting Workers' Rights: Motley Rice Participates in SMART Business Agents' Conference
Motley Rice attorneys will attend the 2012 Sheet Metal, Air, Rail & Transportation Workers (SMART) Business Agents' Conference from Aug. 19 to 23, 2012, in San Diego, Calif. Motley Rice securities lawyer Badge Humphries is also honored to be able to address members on Thursday, Aug. 23.
SMART helps protect workers' rights, including members' retirement security, and provides resources to more than 150,000 skilled laborers employed in the construction, manufacturing, service, railroad and shipyard industries across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.
Motley Rice represents workers in cases involving occupational diseases such as mesothelioma and other serious and often fatal cancers associated with harmful levels of exposure to asbestos, welding fumes and other chemicals. Through our litigation work and advocacy efforts, we continually fight for reform to help protect the safety, health and welfare of injured workers, railroad employees and other consumers. Our attorneys also actively serve SMART and participated in the early work that led to the Sheet Metal Occupational Health Institute Trust (SMOHIT).
