Motley Rice Employees: Volunteer in community- Project GO!
New program promotes firm-wide volunteerism
On Thursdays April 28 and May 5, employees from one of the country's largest plaintiffs' litigation firms, headquartered in Mt. Pleasant, SC, will scatter to four locations wielding everything from paintbrushes to hammers.
"We have been anxious to get Project GO! off the ground since day one of planning," said Michael E. Elsner, the firm's charitable committee chair. "We've developed a great program to initiate volunteerism on a firm-wide level, and our hope is that Project GO! will continue annually, encouraging year-round volunteer efforts and fostering new relationships within our community."
Project GO! participants will help East Cooper Community Outreach, Elliotborough Park and Community Garden, J. Mitchell Math and Science Elementary School and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Hospital.
Motley Rice is joining numerous companies nationwide that have stepped out with programs aimed at investing company resources outside the corporate sector. Elsner hopes that Project GO! will complement the other charitable efforts the firm makes throughout the year, and he urges local organizations interested in being a part of Project GO! to reach out to the firm.
