Motley Rice proud sponsor of 3rd Annual Safe Kids Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair

Motley Rice is proud to sponsor the 3rd Annual Safe Kids Bike Rodeo and Safety Fair being held Saturday, May 1, 2010, at the North Charleston & American LaFrance Fire Museum and Educational Center in North Charleston, SC. The event is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and is free to all parents and children who would like to take advantage of a great opportunity to visit more than 20 interactive exhibits that teach about how to be safe at home, at play and on the way!

For the past two years, Trident Area Safe Kids and the Fire Museum have partnered to celebrate the museum's anniversary and promote fire and life safety with a bike rodeo and safety fair. The event's theme this year is preventable sport injuries, and dozens of vendors representing everything from insurance companies to fire and police departments will be participating. There will be on-site demonstrations by the North Charleston Fire Department along with the MUSC helicopter and antique fire apparatus. Charleston County Parks will also be providing a climbing wall, jump castles, bicycle tune up and obstacle course. In addition, Motley Rice representatives will be attending to hand out helmets in support of the Safe Kids mission and to promote consumer and child safety.

Safe Kids Worldwide is a international network of organizations whose mission is to prevent accidental childhood injury, a leading killer of children 14 and under, and MUSC Children's Hospital is the leading organization for Safe Kids Trident Area.
