On July 16, 2014, Motley Rice filed a class action complaint against General Motors LLC and its predecessor, General Motors Corporation, as well as Delphi Automotive PLC, regarding the manufacturers’ ignition switch defects, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The complaint has been filed on behalf of a nationwide class and a New York state class for individual GM car owners, asserting counts of breach of expressed and implied warranty, fraudulent concealment and consumer protection, among others, which have resulted in the diminished value of class members’ vehicles.
