Iraq veteran filed burn pit lawsuit over exposure to burn pits while serving abroad
Iraq veteran Tim Wymore suffers from three lesions on his brain, a lesion on his eye, a blood disorder, a damaged esophagus and various abdominal problems that ultimately led to the removal of most of his colon. He is one of hundreds of military veterans and personnel who have filed burn pit lawsuits against military defense contractors KBR and Halliburton alleging that exposure to the hazardous toxins generated by open-air burn pits on bases in Iraq and Afghanistan caused them to suffer from serious illnesses.
He is also one of many who fear that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) may not provide the benefits needed as a result of the injuries and illness that may have been caused by burn pit exposure.
