9/11 lawsuits remain in litigation seeking answers
Unsatisfied with the payment offered by the federal September 11th Victims Compensation Fund, dozens of 9/11 victims' families are filing lawsuits against airlines, security companies and other entities that they feel should be held accountable for the 9/11 attacks. As of September 4, 2007, 53 of the original 95 lawsuits have been settled, and one has been dismissed; 41 remain in litigation.
