BP oil spill lawsuit filed on behalf of Mississippi victims

A putative class action lawsuit has been filed in the state of Mississippi by George W. Schmidt, II of Schmidt Law Firm and co-counsel firm Motley Rice LLC against BP p.l.c. and several other drilling defendants in connection with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill that occurred in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday, April 20, 2010.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Kimberly and Do Nguyen, operators of a Mississippi-based shrimp retail business, and others who are experiencing and will continue to experience extensive loss of revenue and earning capacity due to the tragic damage caused by the oil spill on the region's natural resources and industries.
