Flounder gigger files lawsuit against BP alleging oil and toxins caused serious health problems
Motley Rice attorney Kevin Dean is representing Obie F. Carlisle in a lawsuit against BP that some say could initiate similar cases against the oil giant. Carlisle alleges that while flounder gigging in Mobile Bay, AL, he was exposed to oil and toxins in the waters that may have caused the "painful rashes, nosebleeds, nasal blockages, shortness of breath, as well as…emotional distress" that he experienced shortly thereafter. The lawsuit, being handled by Motley Rice LLC, seeks damages against BP, Anadarko, Mitsui Oil Exploration, Transocean, Halliburton Energy Services and Cameron International.
