Hootie's Homegrown Round-Up supported by Motley Rice

Recognizing the community's need to arm elementary school students with proper school supplies and essential services, Motley Rice is again proudly supporting Hootie's Homegrown Roundup: Back to School Basics, which provides approximately 1,300 elementary age students from four Charleston, SC schools with school supplies and other services necessary to help them begin the new school year.

Charleston-based band Hootie & the Blowfish established Hootie's Homegrown Roundup in 2007. Since its inception, the Roundup has supported over 3,000 students in the Charleston area, providing haircuts, dental exams, eye exams, backpacks, shoes, t-shirts, uniforms and basic school supplies.

Hootie's Homegrown Roundup: Back to School Basics will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Burke High School, located at 244 President Street in Charleston, SC. Learn more about you can help support Hootie's Homegrown Roundup.
