Motley Rice member and human rights lawyer Don Migliori has been invited to speak at the 2012 Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) Mass Violence and Emergency National Training Conference in Jacksonville, Fla., on Feb. 2, 2012. Migliori will discuss Perspectives on September 11th Litigation from 10:00 a.m. to11:30 a.m.

The three-day event, starting on Jan. 31, features national experts sharing personal experiences and knowledge on how to best respond to survivors, victims and communities in mass violence and disaster situations. The event brings together multi-disciplinary teams such as:

  • Emergency management personnel
  • Faith-based organizations
  • Federal, state, local, and tribal policymakers
  • Fire and rescue
  • Law enforcement
  • Prosecutors
  • State VOCA and Victim Compensation Administrators
  • Victim service professionals
