Hip Implant Litigation: Motley Rice member appointed to Plaintiffs' Steering Committee
Motley Rice attorney Don Migliori has been appointed to serve as a member of the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee (PSC) in the Depuy® ASR™ Hip Implant MDL.
Migliori was appointed in an order by Judge David A. Katz in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011. As a member of the committee, Migliori will hold a central role in the coordination of all plaintiffs' cases in the products liability litigation In re DePuy Orthopaedics Inc. ASR Hip Implant Products, MDL Docket No. 1:10 md 2197.
The MDL involves individuals who were implanted with the DePuy Orthopaedics ASR XL Acetabular Hip Replacement System between 2005 and 2010 and experienced pain or other side effects that ultimately led to a second hip replacement surgery. The hip replacement device is manufactured by DePuy Orthopaedics, a division of Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc.
