Spanning the Globe: SCBIZ profiles Motley Rice's diverse casework

As one of the larger employers in South Carolina, Motley Rice is humbled to be profiled in the fall 2012 issue of SCBIZ in the article "Social Litigation" by reporter Harriet McLeod.

One of the nation's largest plaintiffs' litigation firms, we are proud not only of our national and international work but also of our efforts in our backyard.

Covering everything from our work fighting for the people and businesses hurt by the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill to our 9/11 and other international anti-terrorism efforts, this article offers excellent highlights of some of the firm's past and current cases—explaining in detail the history of the firm and why advocating for change goes hand-in-hand with representing those who have been wronged.

"We've tried to identify cases to work on we thought would have some better social benefit," said Motley Rice member Michael Elsner. "We're fortunate to be in a firm that feels that way and has the resources to be able to tackle those things."
