In addition, five Motley Rice attorneys received individual rank and recognition:

“Chambers USA’s in-depth research methodology makes our selection to these rankings an honor. The first time national inclusion of our securities team seems reflective of the extensive litigation and results we have achieved for our clients,” said Motley Rice Securities and Consumer Fraud Practice Group Leader, Bill Narwold.

Motley Rice’s litigation experience

The Motley Rice securities team has a depth of experience in a wide variety of matters that seek to recover financial losses for investors and achieve needed reforms. Historically, the securities team has held more than 60 lead or co-lead positions in securities fraud class actions—achieving more than $2 billion* in aggregate recoveries for shareholders and investors.

As co-lead and co-class counsel, Motley Rice attorneys recently negotiated a $125 million settlement to recover losses for Alexion Pharmaceuticals shareholders who alleged the company and three of its executives made misleading statements to boost sales of its medical drug Soliris. The firm’s securities team also served as co-lead counsel and as attorneys for the lead plaintiff in Leventhal v. Chegg, Inc., negotiating a $55 million settlement for investors who claimed textbook-rental service Chegg misled the public about subscriber growth during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Motley Rice’s robust product liability practice includes its role in negotiating a global resolution that brought relief to tens of thousands of plaintiffs who suffered injuries allegedly caused by defective Bard hernia mesh products. The firm’s attorneys also hold multiple leadership roles in the GLP-1 RA MDL in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Hair Relaxer MDL in the Northern District of Illinois, in addition to other matters.
