Three of the members honored are the only South Carolina attorneys included on the list
Four of Motley Rice’s members are included in the 2014 edition of Benchmark Plaintiff’s inaugural Top 150 Women in Litigation list. Jodi Westbrook Flowers (SC), Anne McGinness Kearse (DC, SC), Rebecca Katz (NY) and Mary Schiavo (DC, FL, MD, MO, SC) were listed. Flowers, Kearse and Schiavo are the only South Carolina attorneys included on the national list.
Flowers, who leads the firm’s Anti-Terrorism and Human Rights practice, was listed in South Carolina in the areas of Civil Rights and Human Rights, Environmental, Mass Tort and Securities.
Katz, a former senior counsel for the SEC’s Enforcement Division and who has extensive background in qui tam and SEC whistleblower cases, was listed in New York for Securities.
Kearse, a manager of the firm’s occupational health and catastrophic injury practice groups, was listed in South Carolina under the Mass Tort and Product Liability categories.
Schiavo, a former Inspector General with the U.S. Department of Transportation and an aviation attorney, was listed in South Carolina in the areas of Aviation, Mass Tort and Securities.
