ABA Spring Meeting: Motley Rice asbestos lawyer participates in mock trial

Motley Rice member and asbestos lawyer Anne McGinness Kearse has been invited to participate in the American Bar Association's (ABA) 21st Annual Toxic Torts and Environmental Practitioner's (TTEL) Spring Meeting, "Scorching in the Desert: Hot Topics Facing Corporate Counsel and Toxic Torts and Environmental Practitioners," being held from Thursday, March 29 to Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.

Kearse will serve as a guest speaker for the toxic court case mock trial on Saturday from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The trial aims to simulate the suit of a union pipefitter case filed against a previous employer for occupational exposure to benzene, which allegedly led to a Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma diagnosis. The plaintiff and defense counsel will present their sides of the case while audience members provide instant feedback on the impact of each argument.
