Judge sets trial date for individual 9/11 case

On October 20, 2010, the Honorable Alvin K. Hellerstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York set a trial date for the case Bavis v. United Airlines, Inc. Filed by the family of Mark Bavis, a passenger on board United Airlines Flight 175 on September 11, 2001, the case alleges that United Airlines and other defendants are liable for gross negligence in connection with September 11 terrorist attacks. The trial will begin June 13, 2011 in New York.
