SC Trial Lawyers: Motley Rice attorneys gather with colleagues from throughout the state for the 2013 SCAJ Convention

From August 1 through 3, 2013, South Carolina trial lawyers and legal speakers will gather on Hilton Head Island for the annual South Carolina Association for Justice (SCAJ) Convention, a 12-hour continuing legal education seminar. The South Carolina Association for Justice is a statewide organization that includes more than 1,300 trial lawyer members, with a focus on “Keeping South Carolina Families Safe.” The SCAJ seminar is an opportunity for trial lawyers to discuss and inform their fellow colleagues on the laws, guidelines and issues affecting the legal industry, such as securities, employment law, ethics, technology, family law, environmental law and more.

Motley Rice securities fraud attorney Badge Humphries will co-chair the convention's Consumer/Securities/Environmental and Real Estate Seminar Thursday, Aug. 1 with Andrew S. Radeker and William E. Applegate, IV. Humphries will moderate and Motley Rice member Bill Narwold will participate on the panel "Arbitrate This: A Compelling Panel Discussion.” Motley Rice Co-Founding Member Joe Rice and member Fred Baker will discuss lessons from the BP Settlement Agreement.

Motley Rice is a long-standing member and supporter of SCAJ. In addition, Motley Rice co-founder Ron Motley is an AAJ Governor and member Anne Kearse is an AAJ Delegate. As a convention sponsor, Motley Rice is helping to make this educational opportunity available for attorneys. Attendees may earn up to 12 CLE credit hours, including two ethics hours.
