Whistleblower Boot Camp: Motley Rice lawyer speaks on Dodd-Frank SEC Program

The Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund is holding an SEC Whistleblower Boot Camp from Wednesday, Nov. 16 to Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at the Embassy Row Hotel in Washington, D.C.,  from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Motley Rice member and consumer fraud lawyer Mark Labaton will moderate a panel on the new Dodd Frank SEC Whistleblower Program entitled "Working Effectively with the SEC: Practical Lessons from the Program Thus Far."

Topics that will be covered include:

  • Identifying common and pervasive securities fraud schemes and their elements in your filing
  • Pitfalls to avoid
  • Useful drafting and other procedural tips
  • Other practice pointers

Additional panelists are Sean McKessy, Director of the SEC's Office of the Whistleblower and Stephen Cohen, Associate Director of the SEC's Division of Enforcement.
