Motley Rice attorneys honored throughout the nation with multiple awards
Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Women of Influence and Forty Under Forty Awards
Two Motley Rice attorneys were honored by the Charleston Regional Business Journal with separate awards.
Tope Leyimu received the Charleston Regional Business Journal Women of Influence Award. This award seeks to “recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of women from various industries and sectors” who have “demonstrated exceptional leadership, resilience, and innovation, paving the way for future generations.”

Securities attorney Meredith Weatherby was named to the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s, 2024 Forty Under 40 list. This list recognizes honorees who have “excelled in their chosen industry while carving out time to give back to the community.”

Motley Rice was honored at the 2024 Elite Trial Lawyers Awards, winning in the Consumer Protection category. The firm was also a finalist in the Catastrophic Injury, Governmental Representation, Mass Torts, Pharmaceutical Litigation, Products Liability, Securities Litigation/Shareholder Rights, and Technology categories. The National Law Journal and Law.com present the Elite Trial Lawyers awards to “recognize law firms’ outstanding plaintiffs work in a high-stakes bench or jury trial or in a major settlement.” Recipients of these awards must have secured a significant win during the selection period as well as demonstrated an “impressive track record of wins over the last three to five years.”

- Litigation Departments of the Year: Products Liability/Mass Torts recognizing “a significant impact” within this field.
- Motley Rice attorney Ashley Hornstein received the Unsung Hero Award. This award recognizes attorneys who have “worked behind the scenes on particularly important work.”
