Two killed in Williamsburg County, South Carolina plane crash
Tragically, two people lost their lives when a Cessna 401B twin-engine plane crashed in a rural South Carolina community, Williamsburg County, on Oct. 4, 2017.
First responders located the wreckage in a swampy area off S.C. Highway 375 near the Berkeley County line, according to the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are conducting an investigation to determine a cause for the crash.
Responders recovered the bodies of two men, ages 66 and 47, who were on board the plane, according to news reports.
