Breast Cancer Awareness: Motley Rice supports Team Elsner
On Oct. 15, 2011, members of Team Elsner participated in the Susan G. Komen Lowcountry Race for the Cure on Daniel Island, S.C. The team was also supported by more than 175 donations totaling nearly 26,000 dollars, making it the second highest fundraising community team participating in the race. More than 140 "racers" donned their Team Elsner pink shirts, which said, "Cancer messed with the wrong girl."
Team Elsner was created to support Kathy Elsner, the wife of human rights lawyer Michael E. Elsner, who is battling cancer. Mike, Kathy and their two children live in Charleston, S.C.
