Motley Rice ranked 15 of 50 in ISS 2015 Securities Class Action Services report

On May 2, 2016, the Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) released its 2015 Securities Class Action Services Top 50 report in which it ranked Motley Rice in the top third for securities class action settlement recoveries during that year.

For being lead or co-lead in securities class action settlements, Motley Rice is ranked number 15 out of 50 with $198,275,000* in “settlement total,” the total cash amount made available to investors for recovery in all settlements occurring in 2015, in which the law firm served as lead or co-lead counsel, and where a settlement fund resulted.

One of Motley Rice’s securities class action settlements in 2015 included Cora E. Bennett v. Sprint Nextel Corp. et al. for $131 million.* Other settlements include in determining the ranking were:

  • Avon Products, Inc.: $62 million
  • Impax Laboratories, Inc. $4.75 million
  • Marion Bass Securities Corporation for $525,000
