Celie Anderson, Julia Rhine, Samuel Strother and Jackson Vause will work out of the firm’s office in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Jillian Murray is in the Providence, RI office and Florence Simon is in the Hartford, CT location.
Celie Anderson

Celie Anderson, Associate, represents investors and individual shareholders who have suffered financial losses due to corporate malfeasance in complex securities litigation. She was a Motley Rice Summer Law Clerk in 2024 and received a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she served as President of the Student Bar Association. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in international business and finance from the University of South Carolina.
Julia Rhine

Associate Julia Rhine represents people harmed by defective medical devices and toxic chemicals contained in a variety of consumer products, including women who used hair relaxers and were diagnosed with a reproductive cancer. She was a Motley Rice Summer Law Clerk before graduating with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law with a J.D. in 2025. She also graduated with highest distinction with her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Samuel Strother

Samuel Strother, Staff Attorney, litigates on behalf of individuals harmed by exposure to toxins such as asbestos, weedkillers, herbicides, and PFAS. He graduated with a J.D. from the Charleston School of Law in 2024 and received his B.A. from the University of South Carolina in 2021. While completing his legal studies, Sam clerked for a defense firm focusing on both asbestos and insurance defense. After graduation, Sam worked as a clerk for Motley Rice where he primarily worked on the Paraquat and AFFF litigations. He developed and maintained many important co-counsel and client relationships.
Jackson Vause

Jackson Vause, Associate, litigates on behalf of people, public water systems, and governmental entities harmed by PFAS (forever chemicals) and other forms of toxic exposure. While completing his legal studies he was a Motley Rice Summer Law Clerk and a legal intern with the SC Environmental Law Project. He graduated magna cum laude with a J.D. from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 2025. Prior to law school he was a middle school math teacher and coach.
Jillian Murray

Jillian Murray, Associate, represents clients harmed by defective medical devices such as mesh implants and GLP1-RAs. She also works as part of the social media litigation team, as well as the team representing survivors of sexual abuse from the religious organizations. Jillian was a Motley Rice summer law clerk in 2024 and externed for Honorable Chief Justice Paul A. Suttell of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Jillian graduated cum laude with a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2025.
Florence Simon

Associate Florence Simon represents whistleblowers flagging fraud against the government as well as people who allege social media platforms encouraged addictive behavior resulting in emotional and physical harm. She was a 2023 Summer Law Clerk with Motley Rice. She also served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Bethany J. Alvord of the Connecticut Appellate Court and a judicial intern for the Honorable Vanessa Bryant of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She earned a J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a B.A. from McGill University.
